Creamy. Decadent. Ridiculously luxurious. FEELS naughty, super nice…but it’s actually GOOD FOR YOU!
Say hello to White Chocolate Vanilla Chai.
This recipe was born on a crisp, cool Autumn day – when the leaves outside were turning amber and crunchy underfoot. It’s mega comforting and feels like real treat – plus it’s super easy to make!
We made this with vegan white chocolate, organic soy milk and agave syrup, but you could switch up the ingredients to suit (plenty of notes on this below!) The recipe below is dairy free, vegan, sugar free and gluten free. To make it extra decadent you can add soy whipped cream, condensed coconut milk, caramel drizzle or cinnamon sprinkles.
White Chocolate Vanilla Chai Latte
Agave syrup (you could also use pure Maple Syrup, vegan honey or carob syrup here)
Creamy plant-based milk (I used organic, sustainable soy – but oat, hemp and barista blends work really well, too)
1/ Add 1 tbsp Aura Chai Vanilla Chai blend to a small saucepan/milk pan or chai pot, followed by 1-3 teaspoons agave syrup. Pour in just enough freshly boiled water to cover the blend – around 80ml.
2/ If you have a milk frother/steamer, heat and texture your milk. If not, add cold milk to the pan and brew on the stovetop, gently simmering until small bubbles form on top.
3/ Melt 3-4 squares (around 30g) white chocolate into the milk or heated chai and stir until completely blended.
4/ Strain the infusion into a glass or mug and top with your hot milk – or simply strain and serve straight from the pan if you’re brewing in the traditional way.
5/ Top with foam, whipped soy cream and cinnamon sprinkles – go wild!
