Our Organic Ceremonial Matcha Green Tea is a premium tea powder which has been used in traditional Japanese tea ceremonies for nearly a millennium. It is made from shade-grown tea leaves, avoiding direct sunlight and stimulating growth in chlorophyll. Only the finest tea buds are picked and dried to create the fine milled, bright-green powder. It has a unique and distinctive taste, the higher the quality, the sweeter, less astringent the flavour. Our Matcha is of ceremonial grade.
Traditional uses:
This antioxidant rich green tea is renowned for its ability to slowly release its caffeine into your system throughout the day. This allows for a long duration of focus without the quick peak and crash that many experience with coffee. The concentration of antioxidants in matcha tea is 10 times greater than the other green teas.
Suggested Serving:
1/2-1 teaspoon (we recommend for all to listen to their bodies intuition, follow the dosage that most resonates with you)
To brew: Add your matcha to a wide jug, bowl or chawan. Pour on water at 60 degrees (leave kettle for a few minutes post-boiling) and whisk using a matcha whisk or small metal whisk to avoid lumps forming. Top up with milk of choice if desired – our matcha can be enjoyed hot or iced, with or without milk.
