I wanted to reassure my lovely customers that all is well here at Aura Chai and we are continuing with business as usual for as long as we possibly can – albeit with extra measures in place. Open for business as usual
Firstly as an online company we are open for business as usual. You can buy from us anytime, anywhere and we ship on the same day. For me personally and for many others this time is going to be difficult, but it is a time to cherish our health, our loved ones and the small moments in life. I developed our products with love and advanced nourishment in mind. That’s why they’re only made with fair-trade natural ingredients, no chemicals, fillers or other nasties. Although our blends are of course no cure for COVID-19 they offer a variety of natural health benefits inspired by ancient wisdom and medicinal practices designed to support the body and prevent illness. They’re packed with anti-inflammatories, anti-oxidants and immune-boosting compounds. I want to make sure that people have access to them for as long as possible. Increased hygiene measures
When we grew the business from very little to slightly bigger last month we did a huge blend which means we have plenty in stock and will not need to blend again for a couple of months. When we do run out of stock we will reassess whether blending is viable and safe, or not. Food manufacturers such as ourselves are unaffected by closure mandates at this time, but things may change.
The warehouse where our products are stored and shipped from is operating on a skeleton staff and is fully compliant with the government’s COVID-19 guidelines. They advise that the risk of transmission via food and packaging is low. Extra hygiene measures are in place, including more frequent hand-washing and disinfection. No employees at our premises have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or have shown symptoms.
Possible shipping delays
Our shipping providers in the UK, Royal Mail and DPD, have advised slightly longer shipping times in some cases due to high volume and demand. They are also slightly changing the way they deliver – no longer asking for signatures and minimising human contact with more distant delivery techniques. Please head to their individual websites (links above) to learn more. Global shipping could be much more affected, as delivery services have been heavily disrupted in the most affected countries. Further updates on COVID-19
This situation is very uncertain which understandably is causing lots of people and businesses to feel anxious. Please rest assured that we are following all government guidelines and are staying OPEN to serve you with delicious chai for as long as we possibly can. We will be keeping up to date with the situation here are overseas and will adapt our operations if needed as things develop. Our thoughts are also with our coffee shop and restaurant partners who have been forced to close for the foreseeable future. Please support them if they have online stores or shops!
